Throughout my career, change has been a constant. In 1995, two years after becoming a staff photographer, The Macomb Daily became one of the first newspapers in America with a completely digital photo department. Overnight, our darkroom became obsolete.

At the time, this seemed like a monumental change. However, it was a precursor of changes that were about to come. In 1995, who could have imagined that a substantial part of a photographer’s job would be transmitting images in real time or shooting video with a phone. This experience has trained me to be versatile and adapt to a wide variety of situations.
